Areas of responsibility: 

Laurie is responsible for leading the International Student Advising and Services (ISAS) unit of International Programs which provides essential services to prospective and current international students in keeping with OSU's mission of providing service to the people of the world.  In her position, she researches, develops and advocates for new and innovative programs to retain international students and enhance and further the strategic goals of the unit and division.  She also works closely with OSU academic and administrative units to help represent the needs and interests of international students on campus.


Laurie completed her undergraduate work at the University of California, Davis, with bachelor's degrees in International Relations and French. During her undergraduate program she studied in Poitiers, France, and Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She received her master’s degree in International/Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. She has enjoyed working in the field of international education for over 20 years, holding various positions in Washington, D.C., Vermont, Illinois, and Oregon. Laurie enjoys traveling, sampling cuisine from different cultures, taking long walks, and parenting two teenage boys.
